Marinas

The British Virgin Islands are considered to be some of the finest sailing grounds in the world. The location offers almost perfect weather, favorable trade winds, breathtaking scenery, protected anchorages and short passages between islands. The inviting natural surroundings are further enhanced by the excellent facilities set up to cater to boaters.

Dive Tortola recognizes that many vacationing sailors are also divers.  For this reason we have a large inventory of rental equipment available for experienced divers wishing to explore with their buddies from their charter boats. On picking up their charter boat divers arrange to have the equipment needed for their vacation delivered to their boat prior to setting sail.  There are various dive shops around the islands where air fills are available. For the less experienced diver, or for those preferring the comfort of a knowledgeable guide, Dive Tortola offers “Rendezvous Diving”.  Divers call Dive Tortola from their sailboats arranging a time and location where the dive boat will meet them with staff and equipment for a 1 or 2 tank dive.  This is also a very convenient way for student divers to complete their open water dives for certification whilst on vacation.

To contact Dive Tortola on island call 494 - 9200 or “Dive Tortola” on VHF radio channel 16

Marinas on Tortola and Virgin Gorda have facilities to accommodate long-term regulars, transients, mega-yachts and live-aboards. Anegada and Jost Van Dyke do not have any marinas, however there are designated anchorage sites and moorings around most of the other islands. Both Tortola and Virgin Gorda have active yacht clubs.

The marinas have water and fuel fill up stations and several include full boat yards, haul-out facilities, chandleries and support businesses for the industry. Contact the marinas listed below for reservations, pricing, entry regulations, customs and immigration offices, arrival procedures, marina rules and other specific information.
